David Macaulay

Before it leaves
you might want to catch
the David Macaulay exhibit

at Tacoma Art Museum.
It appeals to men and older boys
and women & girls with a scientific bent.

If you aren't familiar with Macaulay,
he writes cool books on the way things work.

I haven't taken any pictures of the Glass School and it is right down my road. But it also says Private Property no admission and by appointment only. So i should go to the Open House. You better tell me when it is. Hmmmmm. Thanks for letting me know. MB

√ Howdy ! from the cornfields of Brookville, Ohio

Thunderstorms rolled over my house this morning at 4:00 AM and thunder and lightening woke me up. By the time I was up and drinking my first coffee, the rain was hitting my skylight pretty hard. It sounded like some kind of war going on. The noise is great.

Your photo is really nice. It is a reminder of the signs that used to be put up in what were called 'defense' plants during the war. Signs were for the women who wore slacks for the first time in their lives and who went to work in industries across the county, to help them to understand how to make things or to show them the proper sequence for using sub assemblies to make something. You have a nice post here.
