Artists in Residence at the Glass Museum

Noted glass artist Tom Rowney
was the artist-in-residence
at the Museum of Glass last week.

The team, under Rowney's direction,
created works right in front of your eyes.

This week's artist-in-residence is
Molly Wolfe.

If you can't make it to the Museum in person
to watch her work, you can always check out the live feed
Monday through Saturday, 10 am to 5 pm
Sunday 12 pm to 5 pm
Third Thursday 10 am to 8 pm
(all times Pacific Standard time)

If you're coming to the museum to watch the fun,
just remember to wear something cool.
No, the fashion police aren't on duty.

It's just that
the Hot Shop is aptly named.

I've always been fascinated with glass blowing. It's amazing how something so beautiful can be created with fire and sculpting. It's definitely a delicate art.

I would love to take a glass blowing class... Looks like a very cool place.

Meri, I realized you asked me a question the other day that I didn't answer. About the class I took on working with models. I found the class at www.meetup.com it is a site with groups for everything all over the world. I have signed up for about 5 different photography related groups in Utah and one of the time is a learning workshop group. It is well worth the time to check it out and see what you can find in your area. Happy shooting!

We were right next door today, but had other things to do. We did come back to town later though for a wonderful dinner at The Old Spaghetti Factory.
