Plate Shape on Live Feed

Did I ever mention that the Museum of Glass
has a live feed
showing what's happening in the hot shop?

We were in the gallery watching this take shape,
but you could have joined us from home.
Richard Craig Meitner has been the artist in residence this week.

Hot stuff!

Tacoma Artists Create

A while ago, I ran a piece on my other blog
showcasing the work of various artists
that participated in a Tacoma Art at Work
annual open house.
I emailed them all, asking permission to share
photos with snippets of their work.
They all agreed then,
so I'm reprising the art and artists now,
assuming they won't mind.

upper right: Lorraine Toler
lower left: Lynne Farren
Center and lower right: Sharika Roland

Laura Hanan has a studio and Brick & Mortar Gallery on Pacific.
Anne and Lynne had studio space on Opera Alley
and at least when I was there last, I think they still do.
And Sharika and Lorraine had studio space on the top floor
of the building across from the Swiss Tavern.
Call first to arrange appointments
and make sure they haven't moved.

Catching Up on Missed Days

I've been neglectful.
Haven't posted for a while,
at least on this particular photo blog.

So let me catch you up
with a mosaic of Tacoma photos.
