Plate Shape on Live Feed

Did I ever mention that the Museum of Glass
has a live feed
showing what's happening in the hot shop?

We were in the gallery watching this take shape,
but you could have joined us from home.
Richard Craig Meitner has been the artist in residence this week.

Hot stuff!

Thanks for this info, Meri. I have yet to make it to the museum but have loved art glass for over 20 years and would like to see more of how the artists work. Maybe it started with those glass blowers who made those charming little animal trinkets while you watched at Knott's Berry Farm and Disneyland and carnivals where I grew up.

I should set a date with you in August to come down for the day and have lunch and go on a photo walk. Would you have time for that on some Friday?

Glass making is incredibly fun to watch so I guess I'll have to look into the live feed. I was mesmerized by glass blowers at the Corning Museum in Corning, New York. I bet this is a great museum too!

I remember visiting this place a few years ago and watching the artists in action. I loved the museum - inside and out.
