Native American Festival at Tacoma Art Museum

The Tacoma Art Museum has wonderful family festivals

that celebrate cultural gifts to the community.

Here, Native American children dance to the beat 

of beautiful handmade drums. 

Yes We Can-Can

A special treat during the history presentation

at Tacoma Art Museum yesterday

was a can-can dancer,

one of the original can-can girls from

Tacoma's Gay Nineties restaurant.

The guest was Miss Tacoma in the 1950s.

She's still quite a fetching figure

and more than willing to engage the audience.
