Puget Sound Fourth

It isn't just on the Fourth of July
that boats in marinas all over Puget Sound
hoist the Stars & Stripes.

But today's a nice day
for a reflection on freedom

and constitutional rights

separation of church and state

and the liberty inherent in being able to
express divergent views without being shot
or disappearing or having your blog shut down.

I like your photo today.
I'm at the beach so water is the theme.

Freedom of Expression ... I like that one.

A very thoughtful post for today. I like it and thank you for reminding us.

Happy Independence Day!
May countries and peoples all over the world enjoy the same level of freedom and independence that Americans do. I know it's not perfect, but it's still so much better than in many other countries.
