or the greedy bites of a wrecking crane.

I read your first link, and will go back later and read the second one. I certainly remember it being the Fun Circus as well as remembering the surrounding businesses. It was definitely the seedy part of downtown, but historic nonetheless. It's sad any time an old building like this comes down.
