Recycling

We take recycling seriously here in the Pacific N.W.

This pile of boxes caught my eye because of the
ROCKST*R box.

There's a rock band video game
newly installed in the family room
and there's been a whole lot of singing and drumming.
At all hours of the day and night.

I've got rock stars on the brain.

Salvage Style

Near the corner of N. Pearl and 51st in Ruston,
there's a new shop about to open.
It's called Salvage Style

The owner is busy sprucing up the place
and hopes to have it open for business
in the next few days.

She finds treasures of the used variety
that are being cast off
and brings them back to chic-ness.

What could be more environmentally friendly?

Baby

I don't have a clue whether this baby is Bima or Mali,
but it's one cute tiger kitten.

(p.s. The proud mommy is Jaya.)

Tacoma's Light Rail

It would be so grand to be able to hop on
at Union Station and ride to the airport
or downtown Seattle
or University Village
or Bellevue.

Another Chihuly Bit

Tacoma is noted as an art glass center,

inspired in no small part
by Dale Chihuly's body of work.

Sunset on the Pond

The weather's turned warmer again.
Look for sizzling sunsets.
